1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are used to make websites work, work efficiently, and to provide information to site operators. Cookies are stored on your device's browser and contain data such as a session identifier, user preferences, or anonymized identifiers. When you return to a site, your browser sends the cookie back to the server — the site recognizes your browser and recalls your settings or session.
We also use similar technologies: local storage (browser-based key/value storage), session storage, and pixels that function similarly to cookies. All references to “cookies” in this policy include these similar technologies unless otherwise stated.
2. Why We Use Cookies
RWX-TEK uses cookies and similar technologies on rwxtek.com and jettson.dev for the following purposes:
- Authentication and Security: To keep you logged into Jettson during your session, recognize your device on return visits, and protect against CSRF and other security threats.
- User Preferences: To remember your chosen settings (such as color theme or dark/light mode and interface preferences) so you do not need to reconfigure them on every visit.
- Payment Processing: Stripe sets a session cookie to manage your payment session during checkout. These cookies are essential for completing transactions.
- Analytics and Performance: To understand how visitors navigate our sites, which features are most popular, and where technical performance can be improved. Analytics data is aggregated and anonymized.
RWX-TEK does NOT use cookies for advertising, behavioral profiling, cross-site tracking, or any purpose beyond those listed above.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for our Services to function. They cannot be disabled via the Cookie Preference Center (you may block them in your browser settings, but doing so will break login and payment functionality).
| Cookie Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Can Be Disabled |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| rwxtek_session | RWX-TEK INC | Authenticates your login session and maintains logged-in state across page loads | Session (expires when browser is closed) | No — disabling breaks login |
| __csrf_token | RWX-TEK INC | CSRF protection token; prevents unauthorized form submissions | Session | No — disabling breaks security |
| __stripe_sid | Stripe, Inc. | Stripe payment session identifier; manages your checkout and payment session | Session | No — disabling breaks payments |
| __stripe_mid | Stripe, Inc. | Stripe machine identifier for fraud prevention and session continuity | 1 year | No — required by Stripe for payment security |
3.2 Functional Cookies
These cookies enhance your experience by remembering your preferences. If disabled, some features may not work as expected, but core functionality will remain unaffected.
| Cookie Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Can Be Disabled |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| rwxtek_theme | RWX-TEK INC | Stores your selected color theme preference (dark/light mode) | 1 year | Yes |

| jettson_chat_pref | RWX-TEK INC | Stores Jettson chat interface display preferences (message density, sidebar state) | 30 days | Yes |
3.3 Analytics Cookies
These cookies help RWX-TEK understand how our Services are used so we can improve performance and user experience. Data collected is aggregated and anonymized — individual users are not identified. These cookies are NOT used for advertising. They require your consent and are only set if you opt in.
| Cookie Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Can Be Disabled |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google LLC (Google Analytics) | Distinguishes unique users by assigning a randomly generated identifier; used to calculate visitor, session, and campaign data. IP addresses are anonymized. | 2 years | Yes |

| _ga_[ID] | Google LLC (Google Analytics) | Persists session state for Google Analytics 4 | 2 years | Yes |
3.4 Advertising and Tracking Cookies
RWX-TEK does NOT use advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, behavioral tracking cookies, or any third-party marketing cookies of any kind. No advertising network cookies are set on rwxtek.com or jettson.dev.
4. First-Party vs. Third-Party Cookies
First-Party Cookies are set directly by RWX-TEK INC (via rwxtek.com or jettson.dev). These include our authentication cookies, CSRF protection cookies, and user preference cookies.
Third-Party Cookies are set by a different domain than the one you are visiting. RWX-TEK uses the following third-party cookie providers:
- Google LLC (Google Analytics): Analytics cookies (_ga, _gid, _ga_[ID]) are set by Google and used for aggregated, anonymized analytics only. These are subject to Google's Privacy Policy. IP anonymization is enabled for all Google Analytics data collected on RWX-TEK sites.
- Stripe, Inc.: Payment session cookies (__stripe_sid, __stripe_mid) are set during payment processing. These are essential for payment security and cannot be disabled without breaking checkout functionality.
No other third-party cookie providers are used on rwxtek.com or jettson.dev.

5.3 Important Note on Disabling Strictly Necessary Cookies
Blocking all cookies at the browser level will also block strictly necessary cookies. This will prevent you from logging into Jettson and will break payment processing. We recommend using the Cookie Preference Center to manage analytics and functional cookies, rather than blocking all cookies at the browser level, to preserve core service functionality.
6. Cookie Consent
On your first visit to rwxtek.com or jettson.dev, a cookie consent banner appears at the bottom of the screen with three options:
- “Accept All” — Accepts all cookie categories. All cookies listed in the tables above will be set.
- “Essential Only” — Accepts only strictly necessary cookies. Functional and analytics cookies will not be set. Login and payment functions normally. Your preferences will not be saved between sessions, and usage analytics will not be collected.
- “Manage Preferences” — Opens a modal preference center where you can individually toggle functional and analytics cookies.
6.1 Consent Storage
Your consent choice is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key rwxtek_cookie_consent with the following structure:
necessary: true(always true; strictly necessary cookies cannot be declined)functional: true/falseanalytics: true/falsetimestamp:ISO 8601 string recording when you made your choice
Once you make a choice, the banner will not appear again. Your preference persists until: your browser's localStorage is cleared; you reset your preferences via the Cookie Preference Center; or you switch to a different browser.
6.2 Withdrawing Consent
You may withdraw or change your cookie consent at any time by:
- Clicking the “Cookie Preferences” link in the site footer (reopens the preference modal)
- Emailing privacy@rwxtek.com to request deletion of analytics data we have collected
- Clearing your browser's localStorage (this resets your consent flag and the banner will reappear on your next visit)
6.3 Strictly Necessary Cookies Without Consent
Strictly necessary cookies are set without requiring your prior consent because they are essential for the basic operation of our Services. These cookies do not collect personal data for tracking or profiling purposes.
7. California Residents
California residents have specific rights under the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). The use of analytics cookies may constitute “sharing” of personal information (specifically, device identifiers and browsing behavior) with Google under CPRA, even though no sale of data occurs.
California residents have the following options to opt out:
- Opt out via the Cookie Preference Center (accessible via the “Cookie Preferences” link in the site footer)
- Opt out by emailing privacy@rwxtek.com with the subject line “California Cookie Opt-Out”
- Opt out of Google Analytics specifically using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
RWX-TEK does not sell cookie data to any third parties. Opting out of analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use any core features of our Services.
8. Changes to This Cookie Policy
RWX-TEK may update this Cookie Policy from time to time when our cookie practices change, when new cookies are added to our Services, or when applicable law changes. We will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page when changes are made.
For material changes to our cookie practices, we will provide notice through a cookie consent banner or a notice on our websites. We encourage you to review this Cookie Policy periodically.
